Grass Seed Residues
Printer Friendly

With the phase-down of open field burning of crop residues in many states, the straw from the production of grass seeds could potentially be collected and used for bioenergy. States with the most acres devoted to grass seed production include Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, and Missouri. About 670,000 dry tons of grass seed straw is estimated to be available in Oregon, California, and Washington.
