Orchard and Vineyard Prunings

Pruning of trees and vines in orchards and vineyards could be a biomass resource for bioenergy use. Orchards and vineyards are concentrated along the Pacific Coast and Florida, with limited acreage in other parts of the U.S. (figure 1). Very little data exists with respect to the quantities of material that might be available.
