Dedicated energy crops

A dedicated energy crop is an agricultural crop that has been planted for the specific purpose of serving as a feedstock for bioenergy production. There are a large number of crops that may potentially be grown as dedicated energy crops in the U.S., including various grasses such as switchgrass and fast growing trees such as poplars and willows, among others.
