Eucalyptus
|
Eucalyptus (E. globulus Labill) is native to Tasmania and is the most widely planted Eucalyptus variety in the world. In the U.S. it is mainly produced for pulp, however efforts to develop Eucalyptus as a bioenergy crop are currently underway in Florida. Efforts are also underway to produce Eucalyptus on phosphate mining land as a means of remediating the land.
