Euphorbia

Euphorbia (Euphorbia lagascae) is a drought-tolerant plant native to Spain. Euphorbia seed contains about 45-50% oil. Euphorbia is of significant interest because it is a potential source of the naturally occurring epoxy fatty acids that are used in industrial applications such as plastics, adhesives, varnishes, paints, and industrial coatings. These products are presently obtained either from chemically transforming soybean oil or from petroleum.
