Feedstock

Any biomass resource destined for conversion to energy, or to another form such as fuel or bioproducts. For example, corn is a feedstock for ethanol production. Soybean oil may be a feedstock for for biodiesel, or a feedstock for bioproducts such as inks, paints, coatings and other bioproducts. Cellulosic biomass has potential to be a significant feedstock source for biofuels, biopower, and bioproducts.
