Forest industry residues

The raw materials left over from timber harvesting, sawmilling and other stages of production. Forest wastes and residues are frequently used as raw materials for additional bioproducts. Chips created during the sawmilling process, for example, can be used as raw material for particle board and chemical pulp production.  Not all waste can be used, however. The biggest waste volumes are green liquor dregs, ash, lime sludge, fibre and coating sludge and deinking sludge.
