Land use
|
Land use includes both the purpose of human activity on the land, and the actual "cover" vegetation or crops in production there. Land use is usually, but not always, related to land cover. USDA's National Resources Inventory uses the term land cover/use to identify categories that account for the entire surface area of the United States.
