No-till
|
A crop production system in which the soil is left undisturbed from harvest to planting. At the time of planting, only a narrow strip is engaged by a specially designed no-till drill, or no-till planter. Weed control is accomplished primarily with chemical herbicides. Other common terms used to describe no-till include direct seeding, slot planting, zero-till, row-till, and slot-till.
